Our Mission & Values

Bancroft Community Transit is a non-profit organization founded in 2001. 

The purpose of Bancroft Community Transit is to provide a service for the people of the northern portion of the County of Hastings.  The service strives to eliminate transportation barriers that stop persons in need from getting the social assistance, medical attention they require. BCT provides safe, accessible, and affordable transportation for persons of modest means, and eligible clients of social service agencies.

Bancroft Community Transit is a distinct and specialized transportation service addressing an identified need in our community.

BCT is also public transit. Providing transportation for all.

We are a much needed and relied upon nonprofit organization that continues to operate an affordable and responsible transportation service, providing access to basic needs, a connection to the workforce and to programs that improve quality of life.  

With strong established partnerships across a variety of sectors BCT has established solid connections supporting almost all of the existing services in our community.
